Not just for laundry any more!
So, it pretty much went like this:
A wanted to sit upright and play with some toys. We wanted to take a couple of minutes to eat lunch without holding her upright or propping her up after a topple (e.g. see here).
In one of her typical moments of pragmatic genius, E plopped A into the laundry basket. Presto! Everyone's happy! As an added bonus, A can now be easily moved from room to room without disturbing her play. And we invented a new game: shoving soft toys into the holes in the basket, so that A could pull them through.

As a side benefit, should the Department of Children's Services ever want photo documentation of what kind of parents we are, they only have to look here

Best and most relaxing lunch we've had in weeks. Mmm-mmm, ravioli!
